Enrolled by Zhejiang International Studies University (ZISU), I worked hard to gain knowledge and skills on my major- Translation, which enables me to apply for the exchange program between ZISU and Washburn University. During this period, besides English language learning, I selected courses of Introduction to Business and Principles of Microeconomics. There I acquired the basic knowledge on business, knew the general trend of the global economy, as well as the essential elements for management, such as the power of cooperation, refreshing views according to the international situation, etc., and through hard work, willpower and passion, I got Straight A’s for all the course. And now, I am studying international business and strategic management at the University of York.
In spare time, I worked for Hangzhou SPEERI Co., Ltd. as an HR assistant, which is responsible for new employee training, online recruitment information updating, CV screening, and data and files maintaining. I also joined OTIS Electric Co., Ltd, as a business assistant at Branding and Public Relations Department. I was mainly responsible for key account management, important activity planning and coordinating inter-departmental communication.
I am really interested in language which is the reason for choosing translation as my major. And I also like to do something relating to business and finance, which drive me to come to the UK to accept further education.
