I am a self-motivated, adaptable and conscientious and work well with others and never shy away form a challenge. With over ten years working in an international and bilingual environment, I believe, has given me the skills, knowledge and experience necessary to work in the field of marketing, public speaking, publishing and translation.
My time with Hess Taiwan and Pearson Taiwan working in publishing, education training and marketing was fun, challenging but extremely rewarding. One aspect of both positions involved producing marketing materials and sales presentation materials in both English and Chinese. I had to be proactive and a team player as collaboration with others was fundamental to the roles. Every aspect of those positions required excellent English language ability, both verbal and written because the core of those businesses was English Language education.
Translation is something I have always had a keen interest in and probably more so now that I have been living in the UK. My role in the companies I worked for involved a huge amount of presentations and seminars for both local Taiwanese and native English speakers therefore always placed a value on how I deliver a presentation
I am an extremely hard working and driven individual. I pride myself on my ability to manage a busy and unpredictable work environment while also searching for new learning opportunities. I feel I can bring this knowledge and experience to the role and I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss my suitability further.
