Katrina Shi has been in the media industry since her graduation from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS), one of the renowned higher education institute that is deemed the cradle of international talents in all walks of life.
Bachelor degree in International Journalism, she ran a school project named Stranger, A Documentary of Expats in the Guangzhou City. Out of the campus, she has the experiences the cities’ media group including Guangzhou TV Station (municipal), Guangdong Radio and Television (provincial), National English Magazine That’s Mag and Urban Family’s local branch (thatsmags.com).
She actively participants in the city’s international group and events, like serving as White Collar Fight Night, Charity Auction’ chief executive of the volunteer group; freelance guide of local tourist group Cycle Canton to show expats around the city’s hidden and forgotten history.
Relevant skills include but not limit to editing, writing, interview, videos, social networking, content-strategy, media research, digital marketing.
Language skills: Native Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), fluent English, beginner Spanish.
