Ludo Tutors, a British education company founded in the spirit of entrepreneurship, provides online classes for students around the world. As an approved online LAMDA Examination Centre, with Russell Group-educated tutors and quality educational resources, Ludo launched its new website and scaled up its e-learning platform during the pandemic.
Ludo had just entered the Hong Kong market in 2021 when the Double Reduction regulations came into force in mainland China, where the company had been operating since 2018. The Chinese market is huge but challenging, presenting a significantly tough environment for education companies. Ludo urgently wanted to re-evaluate the market situation, aiming to adapt its China market strategy, allocate its limited resources and establish connections with local partners and schools.
Crayfish’s integrated and cost-effective solution helped Ludo to secure funding from the UK Department for International Trade’s (DIT’s) Internationalisation Fund, which was used to purchase multiple fixed-price services from the digital platform Crayfish.io, covering commercial strategy, market research, digital marketing and partner identification.
Crayfish brought in three delivery teams of pre-vetted education consultants and specialists, coordinating and managing the projects that were progressing in parallel.
Crayfish successfully delivered assorted services to Ludo, including market research and digital marketing, with the delivery of the commercial part adjusted to suit the ever-changing situation in China.
“Crayfish have been integral in helping us understand the China and Hong Kong markets. We have used a number of services from them and all have been delivered on, or before, time and to a very high standard. Jane has been incredibly helpful and knowledgeable in guiding us and I can’t thank her and the team enough for their efforts. If you’re looking for support in Asian markets, I can’t recommend Crayfish highly enough.”
